Costa Rican born cellist Diana Flores is an active orchestral, chamber musician, and educator currently based in Cincinnati, OH. She has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Boston Pops, Grant Park Music Festival, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and Sarasota Orchestra, among others. She was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and has participated in summer festivals such as Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, The Orchestra of the Americas, and Campos do Jordão in Brazil.
Starting in 2022, Diana has been a member of Sphinx Virtuosi with whom she was part of their album debut ‘Songs for Our Times’ with Deutsche Grammophon, as well as their international debut in Brazil.
Diana is a founder and co-director of Continuo, a Cincinnati based chamber music group. She enjoys teaching at the School of Creative and Performing Arts, and coaching chamber music for the Nouveau Players.
Diana has studied at the Longy School of Music (BM), the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University (MM), and the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (AD). Her primary teachers include Mihail Jojatu, and Ilya Finkelshteyn. She has performed in masterclasses for Yo-Yo Ma, and has studied chamber music with Emanuel Ax, Roger Tapping, and the Pacifica and Ariel Quartets.

La violonchelista costarricense Diana Flores es una intérprete activa en el ámbito orquestal y de música de cámara, además de ser educadora, que actualmente reside en Cincinnati, OH. Ha tocado con la Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Boston Pops, Grant Park Music Festival, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra y Sarasota Orchestra, entre otras. Fue miembro de la Civic Orchestra of Chicago y ha participado en festivales de verano como el Tanglewood Music Center, el Pacific Music Festival en Japón, la Orquesta de las Américas y el festival Campos do Jordão en Brasil.
